BTS: “Incinerator Getaway” – Building the Set

While creating photorealistic sets in 3D can be fun and a great way “access” locations you would otherwise be unable to shoot in (think mummy’s tomb) nothing beats working with a real set. Just as with “HELLO, JOHNNY…”, for this shot we elected to design and build the simple flat that would serve as our set.

About Matthew Cherry

A photographer and cinematographer, Matthew has worked in independent films and corporate video, as well as commercial photography. Matthew draws his inspiration from a wide range of sources, most notably Italian and French cinema, American Film Noir and American Jazz artists of the 40s and 50s.

Matthew has been creating compelling images for over twenty years. Always fascinated by form and light, he combines high production values with his cinematic storytelling to evoke an emotional response to his imagery.

Matthew’s documentary work has taken him throughout North America, South America, Europe and Africa.

In addition to his creative work behind the lens, Matthew has been involved in business marketing for the past fifteen years and has designed and run numerous local, national and international marketing campaigns.
