Art Direction to Post Production on Cinematic Images

Seminar: Art Direction to Post Production on Cinematic Images

This class is meant to familiarize students with the filmmaker’s production cycle and how to utilize those same techniques to create cinematic still images. This is not a class on Photoshop (of which there are many) but rather one that focuses on crafting a narrative image from conception through post production. Examples will be given of various ways to achieve the same result, be it working on location or a purpose built set, using composting of multiple photographs or using a program like Maya to create 3D renderings. At the end of it, the student should have better understanding of how to translate an idea into a finished piece.

This seminar will be two (2) individual sessions of ninety (90) minutes each.

Adorama is located at 42 West 18th Street, NYC. We’re just a short walk from Union Square or the 6th Avenue – 14th Street subway station.
